Industrial agriculture is the intensive production of crops on a massive scale, often involving unsustainable practices and the overuse of conventional fertilizers.

Conventional fertilizers lack the precision that farmers require for healthy crops. It is usually administered multiple times in large quantities throughout the season, with farmers thinking that that is the best way for maximized nutritional benefits for their crops.

In reality, a large portion of the fertilizers are leached away, volatilized, and lost to the environment.  The unsustainable fertilizing practice causes enormous stress on the environment and results in soil degradation over time. This, in turn, affects crop health, and ultimately the profitability of the business.
