Uttar Pradesh State Transformation Commission CEO Manoj Kumar Singh Inaugurates India's First AI-Powered Sustainable Farming Pilot

ALIGARH, UTTAR PRADESH – CEO of the Uttar Pradesh State Transformation Commission, Shri Manoj Kumar Singh, officially inaugurated India's first AI-powered sustainable farming pilot at the Jewar Model Farm, marking a significant step towards data-driven and sustainable agriculture in the state. The initiative is jointly led by RYNAN Technologies and Fortune Rice Limited.

The inauguration was led by Shri Manoj Kumar Singh, CEO of the Uttar Pradesh State Transformation Commission, and attended by distinguished guests including Padma Shri Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh, former Director of ICAR-IARI; Satish Goyal, President of the All India Rice Exporters Association; Sangeeta Singh, Commissioner of Aligarh Division; District Agriculture Officer Dhirendra Chaudhary; and representatives from RYNAN Technologies' Singapore and Vietnam teams.

Located on the 18-acre Jewar Model Farm, the pilot integrates RYNAN's AI-powered insect monitoring system, MethanEYE methane emissions monitoring technology, and five IoT radar water-level sensors. Together, these technologies provide farmers with real-time insights that enable more precise pest management, optimise irrigation practices, reduce methane emissions, and improve overall crop productivity.

Unlike conventional farming, where many decisions rely on routine schedules or manual observation, the pilot enables data-driven interventions. Farmers can apply crop protection measures only when pest activity requires it, optimise irrigation based on actual field conditions, and maintain digital records that support compliance with international export standards.

The significance of this project extends well beyond a single demonstration farm. Fortune Rice has spent the past nine years building a network of more than 2,500 farmers across 15,000 acres and 250 villages in four districts of Uttar Pradesh. As field data continues to be collected throughout the growing season, the insights generated from this pilot have the potential to benefit farming communities across the region while supporting more sustainable and profitable rice production.

The event also marked the inauguration of the Jewar Crop Clinic, providing farmers with convenient access to crop diagnostics, soil testing, agronomic advice, and field-tested agricultural inputs under one roof.
